The Spanish electric microcar that solves parking problems: "Where one car fits, four Nenos can park."

Spain is one of the world's largest vehicle manufacturers, with brands such as Seat and Cupra , and an industry that includes both giants and numerous lesser-known companies . Among the latter, Castrosua stands out for its long history of manufacturing bus and coach bodies, a business it has been successfully developing for almost 75 years, although until now it has not produced any cars of its own.

In recent years, the Galician company has gone a step further and entered the emerging urban mobility segment with the startup Mobme. Its first project is Neno, a 100% electric microcar that aims to revolutionize city travel. With truly compact dimensions, Neno offers two seats side-by-side and a cargo capacity of over 180 liters in its passenger version.

The Neno can be driven from the age of 15 with an AM license.

This compact vehicle was created to address two pressing problems in urban mobility: the lack of space, and the excessive pollution. Its tiny dimensions—less than two square meters—allow for maximum use of available space. "Where one car fits, four Nenos can park," the company notes, seeking to ease street congestion and facilitate parking in increasingly congested areas .

The car measures less than 2 square meters and has capacity for two people and 180 liters of cargo.

Regarding its environmental impact, as it is a 100% electric model, it emits no polluting gases and contributes to reducing noise and the carbon footprint in urban areas.

Measuring just 1.75 m long, 1.10 m wide, and weighing around 500 kg, the Neno falls into the L7e category of light electric vehicles ( heavy quadricycles ), making it a particularly agile option for navigating narrow streets and avoiding traffic jams. It can be driven with an AM license, from the age of 15, or with a type B car license . Its size and maneuverability make it ideal for short journeys, last-mile deliveries , or shared services.

The vehicle has a functional design but with a very distinct aesthetic. The lines are simple, almost minimalist, but include details that add personality. Inside, the approach is equally practical, with enough space for two adults to travel comfortably. It also includes mobile connectivity and geolocation options to facilitate its use in fleets or carsharing applications.

Despite its small size, the Neno can carry two people.

The Neno is designed to be produced entirely in Galicia, combining Castrosua's industrial experience with the flexibility of a technology startup.

Beyond its size and design, Neno aims to demonstrate that even small, local initiatives can lead to ideas capable of transforming mobility. In the words of its creators, it's "a vehicle designed for today's cities, but with a vision for the future."
